Dishwasher/Prep Cook | $15-17hr depending on experience
The Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning kitchen equipment, tools and supplies as well as all dishes, glasses, and utensils required to serve our Guests. Organization and efficiency are important to quickly rinse, wash, pre-sort and deliver clean dishes to the kitchens, dining room and bars. The Dishwasher will also assist with preparing and cooking necessary menu components according to proper recipes/direction in a consistent, timely manner with emphasis on quality and consistency.
- Promote positive employee and guest relations by projecting a positive, courteous, helpful attitude
- Set up dish station according to guidelines and standards
- Keep dish room clean and organized
- Inspect and test sanitizer for proper temperature or chemical mix and properly set up dish machine
- Operate dish machine equipment & wash any items not dishwasher safe by hand
- Ensure all items are washed and put back in proper areas
- Clean food preparation and production areas as required
- Clean large kitchen equipment as assigned, following established procedures
- Bag and haul kitchen trash to dumpster and recycling bin
- Sweep and/or scrub all floors and walls in the kitchen areas
- Ensure the preparation station and the kitchen is set up and stocked with proper food preparation levels needed for the shift
- Transport food supplies, equipment, and utensils to and from work areas
- Safely use all prep equipment including the slicer, food processor, brazier, fryer, soup kettle, smoker, buffalo chopper, mixer and convection ovens
- Perform basic cooking skills, including sauté, baking, broiling, grilling, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must be at least 18
- Understanding of kitchen health and safety standards
- Maintain knowledge and proficiency to operate industrial dishwashers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Must be able to communicate effectively and listen attentively
- Must follow verbal and written directions, policies, and procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, bend, reach, twist and exert well-paced mobility during entire shift
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
