Guest Room Attendant | $15hr
The Guest Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and servicing hotel guest rooms.
- Promote positive guest relations by being honest, helpful and courteous
- Stock/maintain linen cart throughout shift; supply guests with extra linen upon request
- Assist the laundry department with washing, drying, folding and delivering linen
- Clean and sanitize all areas of room and bathroom, dust and polish furniture and fixtures, clean glass, vacuum, sweep and mop floors
- Replenish guest room amenities, towels and other supplies as needed
- Maintain inventory of cleaning cart as well as cart organization and cleanliness
- Move furniture as necessary for cleaning and resetting room
- Adhere to all safety rules and requirements and all policies and procedures
- Show willingness and effort to work as a team
- Ensure security of guest rooms along with a high level of confidentiality and privacy of guests
- Regularly provide information to Supervisor/Manager regarding guest reactions, comments, or problems that may arise and any hazards, damages, or appearance concerns throughout the hotel to ensure a quality and safe environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Prior laundry and/or housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to courteously and efficiently interact with fellow employees, management and guests to ensure a positive experience
- Must pay attention to detail including cleanliness and safety
- Ability to communicate effectively and listen attentively
- Must follow verbal and written directions, policies, and procedures
- Ability to lift/push/pull/handle a minimum of 25 pounds on a frequent basis and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to reach, bend, kneel, stand, walk and exert well-paced mobility during entire shift
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
