Prep Cook | $18hr + pay rate depending on experience
**opportunity to move to Line Cook after 90 days
- Promote positive employee and guest relations by projecting a positive, courteous, helpful attitude
- Ensure the preparation station and the kitchen is set up and stocked with proper food preparation levels needed for the shift
- Transport food supplies, equipment, and utensils to and from work areas
- Safely use all prep equipment including the slicer, food processor, brazier, fryer, soup kettle, smoker, buffalo chopper, beurre mixer and convection ovens
- Perform basic cooking skills, including sauté, baking, broiling, grilling, etc.
- Have full working knowledge and understanding of all menus and prepare components of each dish on the menu by peeling and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces
- Understand and demonstrate preparation of high quality products and presentation
- Maintain basic knowledge of all line cook duties and be willing and able to assist
- Clean all prep areas and properly store ingredients according to health and safety standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Kitchen experience with professional equipment preferred
- Understanding of kitchen health and safety standards
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen and display time management skills
- Attention to detail with knowledge of weights, measurements and volumes
- Must understand proper handling/storage and rotation of food items
- Must be able to communicate effectively and listen attentively
- Must follow verbal and written directions, policies, and procedures
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, stand, bend, reach, twist and exert well-paced mobility during entire shift
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- Must be at least 18
